Hi,
just discovering the PhotoShop Elements Organizer.

When browsing, I want to be able to select some pictures and send
copies of the selected pictures to a specific fodler on my hard disk.
I just don't find how to do this.

is there a way to have a "Copy to" which asks for the destination
folder where copies of those pictures will be sent?

Thanks for any help.

Sincerely,

I think files have to be sent to Editor first, then saved as, to any folder
you want,

Not that I'm aware of. IMO, PSE's "Organizer" isn't really worth the
disk space it takes up if your intent is to use it to manage your image
files. The only reason I started using the organizer is because iTunes
reads its catalog and makes them available for syncing to my iPhone or
iPod. Other than that... the only usability I've found for it is to
centralize my image editing workflow.

The organizer does not have any mechanism to move or copy files between
disk folders.

The organizer does not have any mechanism to batch-rename files, so you
have to do that outside of the organizer BEFORE you import the files.
If you do so after, PSE may automatically find the newly named files
(if so set) but will utterly fail to remove the old names from the
catalog meaning you'll have to do so manually and if you've put them
into Albums, you'll have to put them back in...

My advice is that unless you need to use the organizer for use with
something else or using it for editing workflow, don't bother. Use
ACDSee, IrfanView, or even just your computer's built-in photo viewer.

Thanks all for your comments.

Actually, I'm using ThumbsPlus from Cerious that lets you organize
them and also move them around, copy them around.
Sending to the editor and resaving means, for JPG, degrading the info
one more time.

Ok, I'll give up using Adobe Organizer.
And as you said, it's database takes a lot of disk space...

Thanks for your help.

Ctrl-e resaves the picture and degrades it. It's not the copy of the
original file.
I have up anyway using PSE
Thanks for your help.
